I am a computer scientist, software engineer, and AI developer with more than 20 years of experience designing and building software systems.

After spending much of my career delivering enterprise solutions, I decided to focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, mathematics, and scientific research. My work combines software engineering with applied AI, computer vision, biometrics, and data science, with a strong emphasis on solving real-world problems.

I am the creator of several AI-driven projects, including offline species recognition, computer vision systems, and research in biometric authentication and information security. I enjoy transforming mathematical ideas into practical, reliable software.

My research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, computer vision, mathematics, number theory, graph theory, machine learning, biometrics, data science, optimization, and Python programming. I am particularly interested in developing trustworthy AI systems that have a positive impact on science and society.

WHAT I AM WORKING ON

I am developing OFELIA – an application enabling offline recognition of edible fungi, plants, and animals found in nature – in collaboration with the Hungarian Mycological Society, the OpenBioMaps community, and researchers.

OFELIA is a fully offline-capable mobile app that uses artificial intelligence to identify fungal, plant, and animal species. Real-time image recognition and the built-in chat provide fast and reliable identification anytime, anywhere.

More than an app

OFELIA not only identifies but also builds a community: user submissions, once expert-verified, continuously expand the species set. This way, the app becomes increasingly accurate and useful for everyone.
